RARETE LITTERAIRE - Gilbert CHARLES (1907-1944, poet friend of Kessel and Cocteau, died in deportation) / Autograph manuscript of 4 poems, each on in-4 sheet, presented with 2 autograph title pages, one original photographic portrait (charcoal) and 3 original illustrations in Indian ink by Jacques Teillac - These poems and illustrations were used for the post-mortem publication of "La Source des Songes", a collection printed by Roger Grojean in 1948 in Gournay-sur-Marne, with a cover illustrated by Jean Cocteau and a preface by Joseph Kessel, in memory of Gilbert Charles.
