BAL DES QUAT'Z'ARTS 1947 / Original photograph (14.5 x 9.5 cm) showing students from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in costume for the traditional Bal des Quat'Z'ARTS, on the back an autograph dedication signed by future Quebec urban architect Claude Beaulieu (1913-2002), then a student, to fellow illustrator Jean EFFEL (1908-1982): it uses the linguistic code of the "4 Z' Arts" and is signed "Beaulioulet" (it was he who designed the Bal poster that year, using the pseudonym "Harounal Raschid").
