Nasa. NASA's Curiosity robot regularly makes self-portraits to report on the state of its structures. It is thanks to the MARS HAND LENS IMAGER (MAHLI) camera that a set of 55 high-resolution images have been assembled to create this colour self-portrait. Behind the Martian rover is Mount Sharp. The base of the 3 km high (5 km) sedimentary mountain of Gale Crater stands on the right side of the frame. The mountains in the background on the left are the north wall of Gale Crater. The Martian landscape appears inverted in the round reflective ChemCam instrument at the top of the rover's mast. October 2012.posterior chromogenic print. Numbering in the margin on the front.
