OMEGA De Ville Reference 166.098 Steel city watch with automatic movement. - Round steel case, smooth bezel, fluted crown, screwed caseback. - Blue "electric" dial, applied baton hour markers with luminescent dots, straight luminescent hands, central right-hand second hand, date window at 3 o'clock (grey background). - Black leather strap, metal pin buckle. Case, dial and movement signed. Movement: mechanical with automatic winding. (Caliber 1481 - movement number: 33.395.373) Diameter: 34 mm - Length of the bracelet: 16 - 20 cm Extremely similar to the previous watch (lot 51), this watch has an automatic movement. A sign of the importance of showing this technology, the word "Automatic" appears just below the mark. The dial is a rare metallic blue painted dial, very changeable depending on the axis of the light. Colored dials were rare at the time. While colored dials have been extremely sought after in recent years, finding a vintage watch with a period colored dial is quite difficult. Some people working in dial shops put the figure of 50/60% rejection on this blue color at the time. A similar model can be found in the Omega museum in Biel under the reference 97 (page 478). Condition Report: Good overall condition, stains and oxidation on the dial, use scratches and patina on the case, the watch works at the time of the expertise, without guarantee of functioning over time, a use revision advised.
