Seamaster " lyres débordantes " - reference 2637 - 1 SC Steel city watch with automatic movement. - Round steel case, smooth bezel, "overflowing lyres" handles, fluted "bulb" crown, screwed caseback. - Silver dial, beveled hour markers and applied golden Arabic numerals, dauphine hands, right central second hand. - Chocolate brown leather strap, metal pin buckle. Case, dial and movement signed. Movement: mechanical self-winding with bumper. Movement caliber 354 - numbered 14.005.235 (circa 1954) Case numbered 2637 - 1 SC Diameter: 34 mm - Strap length: 16 - 20 cm This automatic watch has a bumper movement in its steel case, which the Omega Museum curator describes as "partly Chronometer". It comes from the evolution of the 330 automatic caliber family with stop. The caliber 354, released in 1952, was produced in nearly 300,000 pieces and equipped the very first Constellations. In the book Omega. Voyages through time, Marco Richon describes the handles of our model as "Lyres overflowing". It also has lovely beveled hour markers and applied Arabic numerals. A similar model appears on advertisements for the German market on pages 258 and 262. Condition report: Good general condition, minimal oxidation of the indexes, wear scratches and patina on the case, the watch works at the time of the expertise, without guarantee of functioning over time, a service recommended.
