Seamaster 120 date - reference 166.027 Steel diving watch with automatic movement. - Steel "C" cushion case, black painted graduated rotating bezel, fluted crown, screwed caseback. - Black dial, applied and painted luminescent baton hour markers, straight luminescent hands, right central second hand, date window at 3 o'clock. - Steel bracelet, steel folding clasp (1162). Case, dial and movement signed. Movement: mechanical with automatic winding. Movement caliber 565 - numbered 27.515.056 (circa 1968) Case numbered 166.027 Diameter: 37 mm - Strap length: 16 - 20 cm Designed in 1966 and launched in 1967, the Seamaster 120 has an unscrewed crown on this famous "C" case. Although the mention "120" appears on the dial, the water-resistance will be guaranteed only to 60 meters from 1968. Very rare, it was produced with different color combinations: black dial/orange bezel, green bezel and dial or green bezel and dial. This model was the basis for the Seamaster 120 series, available with or without date, with or without day, or without calendar. Here, the date is circled, on a black background and without magnifying glass. A similar model can be found in the Omega Museum at under the reference 1272 (page 325). A similar watch (lot 21) was sold at the Omegamania sale on April 14 and 15, 2007 by Antiquorum for CHF 2,832 Condition report: Good general condition, accidents on the bezel at 9 o'clock, wear scratches and patina on the case, the watch is working at the time of the expertise, without guarantee of functioning over time, a service recommended.
