Lovely letter: "Reflection then made me perceive in the manner in which you were kind enough to bid me farewell, an express order not to renew this sad ceremony. I thought, Princess, that I must comply with your wishes at the expense of my own...I like to hope...that our capital does not lose you without hope of return...". Lanfant's letters are rare...
