Letter signed Octave BOREL DE BRÉTIZEL (1802-1870) Secrétaire des Commandements de la Reine (Marie-Amélie de Bourbon-Siciles, Queen of the French (1782 - 1866), wife of King Louis-Philippe 1er.), addressed, Franchise, to Mademoiselle Hélène TALON in SAINT-GENIEZ, Aveyron. Palais des Tuileries, December 24, 1847: "Mademoiselle. The Queen has received the letter you wrote to her, in concert with the charitable ladies of St Geniez (Aveyron), requesting her participation in a lottery for the benefit of poor children in the asylum wards of that town...". Queen Marie-Amélie sends a crate of lottery items, postage paid, to Espalion (Bureau restant des Messageries Royales.) 1 page in-4° + Envelope. Freepost mark "Service du Roi. Cabinet de la Reine "Enclosed is a copy of the letter addressed to the Queen.
