Julian OPIE (Great Britain, b. 1948) Twenty Six Portraits, 2006. Complete work of 26 color prints, consisting of 16 bound lithographs (as issued), five Lambda prints and five hors-texte serigraphs (as issued), on wove paper, the complete sheets, with text by the artist, bound in the original cloth cover, contained in the original navy silk-covered slipcase. Text by Julian Opie. Signed by the artist. Our copy numbered 219/250. 42.5 x 30.5 cm. This lot was introduced into the European Union under the customs regime of temporary importation. In accordance with current regulations, this regime must be regularized either by re-exporting the lot outside the European Union, accompanied by a duly approved letter of landing and the required customs documents, or by payment of the VAT and import duties applicable in the event of release for consumption in the Union. In the event of retention in France, import VAT at the reduced rate of 5.5% will be added to the auction price. This lot was imported into the European Union under the temporary admission customs regime. In accordance with applicable regulations, this regime must be regularised either by re-exporting the lot outside the European Union, accompanied by a duly approved landing certificate and the required customs documentation, or by paying the applicable import duties and VAT should the lot be released for free circulation within the Union. If the lot is retained in France, an import VAT at the reduced rate of 5.5% will be added to the hammer price.
