Force / Politics / Clémenceau / Chain / Cannon Claude-Charles Bourgonnier (1860-1921), after An astonishing series of 4 numbered and signed lithographs (65 x 50 cm), including : a) Clémenceau as a "fiscal" chain-breaker, with a tiger at his feet. This is the largest print in the series (95/500). b) The strong man, taking out a loan. It's hard, but it's worth it. Two copies, no. 25 and 28/50 c) Les canons, les munitions, 1916, n° 14/50. The gun carriage had had its hour of glory with the muscle-bound jugglers of the Belle Epoque. We were at the heart of the Great War (1915-16), and the aim was to promote and support the national effort in all its forms.
