NASA. LARGE FORMAT. A composite image of data from NASA's Ch - Lot 275
NASA. LARGE FORMAT. A composite image of data from NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory (blue) and Hubble Space Telescope (red and purple) shows a phase that Sun-like stars undergo at the end of their lives. The material in the outer layers of the star in the cat's eye flies away at a speed of around 4 million miles per hour. What remains is a hot core that eventually collapses to become a white dwarf. Chandra data reveal that the central star of NGC 6543 is surrounded by a multi-million-degree cloud of gas. 2008.
Vintage chromogenic print. Numbering in the margin on the front. Legend on back label. 40.6 x 40.6CM with margins.
