René LALIQUE (1886 - 1945), attributed to ATO - House founded by Léon HATOT (1883 - 1953). Very rare table clock offered on the maiden voyage of the liner Normandie in 1935. Circular molded bluish glass clock, with central decoration of the liner's bow on a bas-relief sunburst background, the back of the bezel beaded. Capital letters NORMANDIE on the outer rim. Wave-shaped glass base. Figure on back: "ATO - MADE IN FRANCE" and "Cie Gle TRANSATLANTIQUE FRENCH LINE" on lower base. Hand-wound mechanical movement. Condition: a chip on the back and a tiny chip on the base. Hands are not original. Overhaul recommended. Height: 15 cm Diameter: 12.5 cm
