Photo of Saporro, Japan, taken by the ERST-1 satellite at an altitude of 915 km on August 29, 1972. Three colors, green, red and infrared, seen and recorded separately by the ERTS-1 satellite were combined at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center (Greenbelt, Maryland). You can make out (looking at the photo horizontally): the Sea of Japan (top left), Muroran (bottom center), Sapporo in the center. Vintage NASA black and white print (20.5 x 25.5cm), captioned on the back and numbered 73-H-148.
