Grumann cardboard astroguide, October 1961, with pull tab and 2 rotating discs (for North and South Poles). Explanatory text on back. 25 x 19 cm. The Astroguide is a geostellar projection system adapted for use as a slide rule. It was designed and developed by Grumman primarily as an emergency navigation aid for manned spacecraft in low-Earth orbit, but can also be used to identify stars from a known position on the Earth's surface.
