Small hitch on the date. Folded. 32X24; b) Amazing postcard sent on July 20, 1903, by the managers of the Hotel Perrochon in Cluny, Messrs. Janin and Malcros, to runner Julien Girbe. During his stay in Cluny, he seems to have left a lasting impression. Finishing 13th in Paris (out of 21), almost a day behind Garin, Julien appreciated this handshake, which established him as a "Giant of the Road". A rare document with a direct and deep connection to the 1903 Tour, the very first one. It was gravel over 2428 km...
