José Napoles (1940-2019), known as Mantequilla, as a Mexican pistolero. Between 1958 and 1975, this solid welterweight won 79 of his 86 fights, including the WBA and WBC world titles. In France, it was a period of renaissance for the noble art, under the visual impetus of Luigi Castiglioni, who also consecrated Napoles.
L'Equipe" cartoonist Déro signed over 40,000 caricatures for his company, and masterfully illustrated a number of books, including the collection "La fabuleuse histoire de...". This corner grab, a work of opening art, is conducive to creating the desired atmosphere for "La Fabuleuse Histoire de la Boxe".
