Jean-Claude Skrela, a sword in the 3rd line. At 1.88 m, weighing 90 kg, he sliced his way from Argentina to New Zealand, from the Tournament to Australia. His flashes of brilliance contributed to the historic triumph of 1977. Jean-Pierre Bastiat (1949-2021), the giant from the Landes (1.99 m), with a toy ball in his hand, straddles his opponents. With 32 caps, including the 1977 Grand Slam, Bastiat left his mark on the Fouroux years, and inspired a fine biography by another Dacquois giant, Bernard Dolet.
