Joseph de MONACO. Autograph letter signed by Prince Joseph de GRIMALDI, Prince of MONACO (1763 - 1816), youngest son of Honoré III, Sovereign Prince of Monaco and Marie Brignole, Princess of Monaco, then Princess of Condé. Paris, July 9, 1812, addressed to M. DERETZ in Bayeux (Calvados), concerning the purchase of the Manoir de SAINT-ORTAIRE in the Commune of DEZERT (Manche). 1 page in-8°: "Mr MORISSEAU told me, Sir, that you had been asked by Mr VERSEPUIS to transcribe the contract of sale for the land of St Ortaire, and that you had left Paris for this purpose. I would therefore be most grateful if you could let me know when the transcription will take place, so that I know when we will no longer have to fear overbidding. Please accept, Sir, the assurances of my highest esteem. Joseph de MONACO, rue St Dominique N°83." The addressee replied on July 9, 1812.
