NASA. GRAND FORMAT. VOYAGER 2. This view of Saturn's C ring (and, to a lesser extent, the B ring above and to the left) was compiled from three separate images taken through ultraviolet, clear and green filters. On August 23, when Voyager 2 acquired these images, it was 2.7 million kilometers from the planet. More than 60 bright and dark rings are visible here. 1981. Vintage chromogenic print. Label on back. 40.6 x 40.6 cm with margins.
