Fatimid gold filigree ring - Lot 8
Fatimid gold filigree ring The bezel features a domed filigree section set with claws, a pseudo-inscription applied around the bezel, and the prongs are adorned with an applied palmette on each side. Egypt or Fatimid Syria, 11th-12th century. 22-carat gold, 2.8 cm. Weight 4.7 g. Provenance: Bonham's, Islamic & Indian Art, October 12, 2006, London, New Bond Street, lot no. 146.
