Wooden cross engraved on both sides On one side, the Crucifixion with Christ wearing a sort of mitre, surrounded by the inscription Jesus of Nazareth. On the other, a beautiful interlacing pattern typical of Ethiopian art. 50.5 x 20 cm. Ethiopia, late 18th century. Provenance: Sam Fogg Gallery, London.
