Greek hymnal (irmologion) Orthodox hymns with pieces by the great composer Petros Peloponnesios (Peter the Peloponnesian) in Middle Byzantine neumatic notation. Manuscript on laid paper, written in a neat hand with Greek lyrics written under the musical notation; titles in red. In-4°, 200 pages; bound in contemporary cold-stamped calf on boards, each board featuring a central lozenge, one depicting the one depicting the Virgin and Child, the other the Crucifixion; brass clasps. Constantinople, circa 1790. Condition report: spine of binding damaged; clasps not functional.
