[Spanish Inquisition] Les Instructions e ordinacions perals novament convertits del regne de Valencia (...), Valencia (Juan Mey), 1556. In-8° (14 cm); 16 pages. A few pages restored and beautifully bound in modern parchment. Extremely rare document for the instruction of Moriscos, Muslim converts to Catholicism and their descendants. Published in 1556 by Bishop Martin of Valencia, it was written around 1640 by Bishop Jordi (Georges) of Austria and Bishop Antonio Ramirez de Haro of Ciudad Rodrigo, both Inquisitors of the Holy Apostolic See. Provenance: former Victor (Avigdor) Klagsbald collection (bookplate).
