The first Armenian-Russian dictionary, whose full title is Livre qui vous ouvrira le chemin de la linguistique : le dictionnaire arménien- russe. In the second part, inserted at the end of the volume, the prayer of Saint Nersès Chnorhali in Armenian and Russian. Grigor Khaldariants, merchant, translator and lexicographer, pioneered Armenian printing in St. Petersburg between 1781 and 1787. Our book, printed posthumously in 1788 by his widow Katerina Zakharovna, bears witness to the desire to establish a linguistic and cultural bridge between the Armenian community and the imperial Russia at the end of the 17th century. A very rare book.
