Babikian, focuses here on the catholicos Hovhannes III of Odzoun, known as the Philosopher. He presents the position of vartabed Mikayel Tchamchian that Hovhannes III Odznetsi is the wise patriarch of the Armenians mentioned by the Church Fathers, then the position of vartabed Meguerditch Avkerian that Odznetsi's catechism contains orthodox doctrine and the writings of a wise man.
