Jacques-Félix-Emmanuel HAMELIN (Honfleur/ Calvados 1768 ) 1839) Rear-Admiral 1811, Baron of the Empire, Irish Expedition, Prisoner of the English in the Indian Seas 1806-1810 - Autograph letter signed "Emmanuel HAMELIN, Capitaine de Vaisseau, l'un des Commandants de la Légion d'Honneur" Paris June 29, 1811. 2 pages in-folio - to Mr Tabarier. He reports that he went to the audience of H. Exc. Mgr le Duc de FELTRE, on leaving home, and asked him to extend the Leave of Jean Antoine LE CEINE, his Brother-in-law Sergeant returning from prison and dismissed, for whom he is requesting a sub-Lieutenancy in the Line.
