François Désiré ROULIN, Physician, Illustrator and Naturalist (Rennes/ Ille-et-Vilaine 1796 - Paris 1874) - 2 autograph letters signed "ROULIN.", to his "Dear Mr MERLIN", 2 pages in-16° each. February 20, 1855 and undated: "I heard you express a desire to attend the Séance de réception de M. de SACY. I don't know if I promised you a summer of my two tickets, but at least I had the intention, and I'm carrying it out...". "I reminded Mr PINGARD of the request you made for a ticket to the next Séance de l'Académie Française; but as he did not positively promise to send you any, and as I have two of my own, I am sending them to you..."
