Victor de LAPRADE, Poet, Academician (Montbrison/ Loire 1812 - 1883) - Letter A.S. from ROYAT (Puy-de-Dôme) August 18, 1869, 3 pages in-8° : "Dear Poet and friend (Aimé GIRON) : I was a stone's throw from Clermont, in Royat, where I'm nursing my rheumatism... Since you have done my poor letter the undeserved honor of printing it. I would at least like it to serve as an example to patriots who are certainly more opulent than I am. I had just read it reproduced in L'AUVERGNE. I've come to ask you, since this scribble is an example, to send the issue of the Haute-Loire newspaper where it can be found to the brave Arthur SOUROY (Château de la Morinière par Saint Georges, Vienne.). I'm staying in Royat until the end of the month, then I'll be in Aurillac (Cantal) until September 15, and from there to Montbrison (Loire)..."
