The Coronation of Louis XV, King of France and Navarre, in the Cathedral of Reims, on Sunday, October 25, MDCCXXII. Large in-plano volume, atlas format, bound in full brown morocco leather with gold-tooled royal coat of arms centered on the cover. Entirely engraved on copper, comprising 72 plates, including 33 of text and 39 of illustrations: 30 plates of portraits in costume and 9 engraved panels on large fold-out sheets depicting the coronation ceremonies. Edited by Antoine Danchet under the direction of Jean-Paul Bignon and Claude Gros de Boze. This major work had been in preparation since the coronation of Louis XV in 1722 and was presented to the king in 1731.
