(Autograph and Bibliophily) - Marcel ARLAND / "Edith", Paris, NRF, 1929, original edition, 1 of 10 head copies on Japon (this one the x, but contrary to what is announced for these Japon, it presents only one state of the frontispiece), in a total edition of 615 copies, bound in cream demi-velin, boards in white starred paper, smooth spine, gilt headband, covers and spine preserved, 85 p (10.5 x 16.5 cm), illustrated by Démétrios GALANIS, copy enriched with a signed autograph dispatch "for Paul Beauvais, this small image, with my friendship" - copy stuffed with a signed autograph letter from Marcel Arland (signed "M.A.") to André Malraux: he expresses his admiration for the typography chosen by Malraux (then working at Gallimard) for his novel "L'ordre", due for publication at the end of April (1929, with which he would win the Prix Goncourt), and tells him an anecdote, "the other day, coming out of your house, I meet a former pupil of mine who lives in your house, I tell him I've just seen a friend there - Ah, does he, M. Marcel Pagnol no doubt?" and he adds, "on the other hand, do you know that the same house is inhabited by Mr. P. de Massol? What plates!" (2 p in-8)
