BENGALE - KALIGHAT SCHOOL / Original gouache and watercolor drawing depicting a mythological scene featuring a god from the Hindu Pantheon, circa 1880, named in pencil (17 x 20.6 cm) - This traditional and popular art was executed by the villagers of Kalighat (near Calcutta), characterized by bright colors and naive iconography - The third scan was made on a light table in order to show the laid watermark of the paper.
