I have the honor of placing before your eyes the Prospectus of the History of French Diplomacy throughout the Revolution (published in 1811). Your Highness may be persuaded in advance that this work will contain nothing that is not agreeable to him, and in keeping with the respect and devotion with which I have the honor of being."
