Exemplaire envoyé au Curé de QUINCAMPOIX (Seine-Maritime) : "La France a vu ses maux se multiplier, encore par les suites funestes des insurrections... les impôts ont été refusés, les dépôts des recettes ont été livrés au pillage." He asks that the silverware of the churches, which the piety of the faithful had destined for the adornment of temples and the decoration of altars, be donated for the relief of the people, and that it be transported to the Hôtel des Monnaies. Letter from the Comte de ST PRIEST; "Your eminence has been informed of the decision taken by the King (Louis XVI) and the Queen to have their dishes taken to the mint; the Princes and the King's Ministers have hastened to imitate this example...", and Extract from the minutes of the National Assembly of the evening of September 29, 1789.
