PRINCESSE DE TALMONT. Bill signed by the Maréchal Duc de BELLE-ISLE, with a few words in his hand, 1 page small in-4, from Versailles April 16, 1759: "Bon pour la somme de quatre mille livres". Following, the Princesse de TALMONT, having discounted this promissory bill and forwarded it to Monsieur LEMPEREUR: "Payer pour moi à Mr Lempereur M Luise Anna Pesse de Talmond". On the back, Monsieur LEMPEREUR wrote and signed in his own hand in Paris on May 10, 1761 (Marechal de Belle-Isle died on January 26, 1761): "I the undersigned acknowledge that Monsieur Figuières in his capacity as executor of the will of the late Monseigneur le Maréchal Duc de Belle-Isle has paid me the sum of four thousand livres for the amount of the bill for the other share passed to my order by Madame la Princesse de Talmont, Maria Louisa Anna Princesse de TALMONT (also spelled Talmond) née Jablonowska [1711 - 1773] Cousin of Queen Marie Leszczynska wife of Louis XV), she married Charles Frédéric de la Trémoille Prince de Talmont - She lived an "emancipated" life, filled with prestigious lovers such as Stanislas of Poland and Prince Charles Edouard - Charles Louis Auguste Fouquet Duc de Belle-Isle [Villefranche-de-Rouergue 1684 - 1761] Marshal of France in 1740 - Jean Denis LEMPEREUR was a jeweler, and as a supplier to the nobility, he was often their creditor.
