Curious request to the "Most Honorable and Illustrious President": "I'm afraid I'm making an indiscreet request... it's indeed for a good young magistrate, full of talent and with a rich future, who combines his judicial abilities with the velocity and zeal of a tireless dancer; it's for Mr MEYNARD LE FRANC, Substitute Judge... What I am asking for him, who would be so happy to be in your salons with all that Paris contains that is notable and great, and who would see in this distraction a pledge of hope, is an invitation to the Ball...".
