Lots of modern Armenian documents - Lot 297
Lots of modern Armenian documents The first item is a typescript letter in French dated February 25, 1944, concerning members of the Armenian community in Alexandria, Egypt. It is a legal document issued by the Patriarch's office, designating the heirs of the late Artin Lokmagueuzian. The second document is an envelope containing a letter and a large sheet of paper with handwritten details in Turkish-Armenian. A document dating from the 1850s. The long text describes the handling of the sale process of a farm in Yenichéhir. A certain Rüstem Pacha, probably the local governor, was the owner, and the author would have sought to dissuade potential buyers. The author's name is Hovhannes Yaghjian. The other document, with Arabic numerals, is the revenue register, which shows the products shipped to the capital. The third document, in Armenian, is a handwritten atlas of Africa, India, China and South-East Asia, written in a school notebook around 1942.
