The R.SOUBRENIE jewelry house obtained its hallmark registration at the Paris office on March 8, 1945. Raymond SOUBRENIE went into partnership in 1946 with Maxime BOIS, a craftsman who had been established since 1937 at 21 rue Louis-Morard. A manufacturer of toiletries sets, gold and silver beauty cases, powder compacts, cigarette cases, cufflinks, lighters, evening bags, and pens, the company supplied major houses such as Boucheron and Van Cleef & Arpels.
