Marquis de MIROMESNIL (Armand Thomas HÜE, Chevalier), Magistrate. He consistently defended the Parliamentarians against royal policy. He served as Minister of Justice from 1774 to 1787 (Mardié, Loiret, 1723 – Miromesnil, Seine-Maritime, 1796) - Signed letter to Mr. LE NOIR, at VERSAILLES on September 30, 1783 – 1½ pages, folio size: “… Mr. BERANGER had a summons served on Mr. JACOB, parish priest of St. Louis in Versailles, and through which it appears he intends to implicate him in criminal proceedings he has begun to pursue at the Châtelet, in connection with the abduction of his daughter… ” “He sought to fulfill a charitable duty by offering Monsieur BERANGER the opportunity to reconcile with his daughter…” MIROMESNIL asks him “to take the necessary measures to prevent Monsieur JACOB from being implicated in this matter…”
