NOAILLES, Prince of POIX (Antonin Claude Dominique Just de) Paris 1777–1846; 7th Prince of Poix, Chamberlain and Count to Napoleon I, Ambassador, deputy for Meurthe (Lunéville 54). Autograph letter signed “Noailles Prince de Poix,” Versailles, June 28, 1784. 1 page (20 x 15.5 cm). He recommends a bodyguard from the Scottish Company, a very good man of distinguished birth. “I would be most grateful for whatever you might be willing to do for him…”
