Letter from A.S. de PUJOULX LARROQUE, Colonel of the PATRIOTIC REGIMENT of ST MACAIRE (33), at the home of Mr. BEYÈS, Attorney at Law, 3 Rue des Feuillants, BORDEAUX - BORDEAUX (33), July 3, 1790 - 2 pages, in-4° - Interesting letter: “Sir… some time after your departure, your replacement was proposed to me by a few individuals still attached to the Ancien Régime; I easily saw where the plot was coming from… You know, Sir, that we are appointed for only six months, and that the term is drawing to a close; You also know that the trust of my fellow citizens and the active members of PIAN (33) and ST PIERRE D’AURILLAC (33) led to my election to the Departmental Assembly in BORDEAUX, where I have been serving since June 7, along with 807 others, in appointing the administrative body of the department known as Gironde; that, as a result of this trust, I was the first of the 36 administrators to be appointed... my position as colonel will pass to someone else...”
