[Alexandre DUMAS, Jr.] / 1°) Count Joseph PRIMOLI (1858–1925, descendant of Lucien Bonaparte): Original autographed telegram addressed to Dumas, Jr., on the occasion of the Italian premiere of his play “Denise” on March 4, 1885, which Primoli had translated and adapted into Italian: “Denise performed tonight to a full house; feverish anticipation; thrilled audience; third act a triumph; six curtain calls; Duse sublime; fourth act controversial; mediocre performance” (Eleonora Duse) - Enclosed: 2 telegrams from Dumas Fils to Count Primoli; one is in response to the telegram regarding the premiere of “Denise,” congratulating Duse / 2) Nadine de KNORRING (1826–1895; she married Alexandre Dumas, Jr., in 1864 and had two daughters with him): her obituary notice, Maison Henri de Borniol (21 x 27 cm) / 3) Henriette REGNIER: original printed announcements of Dumas Fils’s marriage to Henriette Régnier on June 26, 1895, in Marly-le-Roi, 2 pages, small in-4 (with binder holes); he had been living with Henriette since 1887, but he survived this second marriage by only 5 months
