Letter signed by the Marquis d’EYRAGUES (DE BIONNEAU D’EYRAGUES), to Mr. D’AMPMARTIN, Subprefect of Orange. “Sir, I have the honor of sending you the documents pertaining to the organization of the National Guard of the Department of Vaucluse, which I have forwarded directly to the Commander of your district … Since the authority entrusted to you makes you an integral part of the National Guard, I ask you—with the confidence that enlightenment inspires—for your observations on the proper implementation of these measures, which I will address with the Prefect as soon as he has compiled the results of the census councils. I am particularly interested in hearing your opinion regarding the preparation of the lists, Model No. III… ”
