Louis de SÉGUR, Count of Ségur (1838–1924) Member of the Nat - Lot 638
Louis de SÉGUR, Count of Ségur (1838–1924) Member of the National Assembly for Seine-et-Marne in 1871. Son of Paul de Ségur – Autograph letter signed “Louis de SÉGUR, Member of the General Council of Seine-et-Marne for the Canton of LORREZ-LE-BOCAGE.” August 21, 1864. 4 pages, in-8°, on 2 separate sheets: “Sir, The municipality of BLESME, which lies on the border between our two cantons, has just voted to allocate 10,000 francs to secure the classification of the road from Les Chapelles (municipality of Villethierry) to Chéroy—which passes through its territory—as a major thoroughfare. This road would shorten the distance between Villeneuve-la-Guyard and Chéroy. And I have been assured that you are in favor of it… If it would be helpful for us to meet regarding this matter, I would be happy to come see you after the session...”
