ILLE-ET-VILAINE. 1791. REVOLUTION. “Law Concerning TAXES, Enacted in Paris on June 3, 1791. Published by the Directory of Ille-et-Vilaine in RENNES on July 19, 1791. LOUIS XVI, King of the French, and by the Constitutional Law of the State, orders the following. “The National Assembly decrees that any taxpayer who can prove that he has been assessed in the tax roll for the principal amount of the property tax on residential property, at an amount greater than one-fortieth of their presumed income based on residential rents, shall be entitled to a reduction, in accordance with the rules that have been and will be prescribed. ” Poster (42 x 34.5 cm) Vignette: “The LAW and the KING.”—Printed in RENNES, by J.
