Typed certificate signed in MURET on July 15, 1955. 1 page (26 x 17.5 cm). “I, the undersigned, Vincent AURIOL, former President of the Republic and property owner in MURET (Haute-Garonne), certify that Mr. Georges BOCK was indeed a draft dodger, interned in MURET, near my property where I myself was under house arrest. The draft resisters were interned by order of the German authorities occupying France, even though we were in the Free Zone. It was on their orders that Vichy, the Muret City Hall, and the local authorities carried out the internment. These draft dodgers… lived in appalling conditions.”
