(SAÔNE-ET-LOIRE. 1725.) Antoine François de BLITTERSWICK de MONTCLEY, Bishop of AUTUN (1723), Archbishop of BESANÇON (1732), died in Besançon in 1734 - Letters patent concerning the Arrêt du Conseil du Roi of 3 July 1725 which allows Monseigneur de BLITTERSWICK de MONTCLEY, Bishop of AUTUN, to have four hundred and five arpents of wood taken under the authority of his Bishop. Exhibit signed LOUIS XV (Secretary) countersigned PHELYPEAUX, Given at CHANTILLY (60) on July 24, 1725 - "PLEASED by the Grace of God King of France and Navarre to Our Bishops and Beauty Counselors the people holding our Court in the Parliament of DIJON..." Superb oblong vellum (47 x 66).
