BARÈRE de VIEUZAC (Bertrand) 1755-1841
Conventional of the HIGH PYRENEAN. Letter A.S. "B. Barère", this 2 Germinal Year 12 (23 March 1804) at its Bookstore in Paris. Ticket 1p in-8°, "BARÈRE to the honor of greeting Mr. MARAUDAU whom he was looking forward to these days. The payment of my last trimester forces me to look for money. I took Mr. MARAUDAU to give my cousin, the bearer of this note, four or 500 francs, which he urgently needed. The successes in the sale of the last book must have put him within reach of paying for it and I am delighted with his successes after so many struggles. He introduces him to his civilities." On the back of the Ticket, a note signed by his cousin Hector BARÈRE: "I received on behalf of my cousin B. BAR the sum of 240 pounds in gold as a deposit on what the Citizen MARAUDAU owes to the Citizen BARÈRE. Paris on the 7th Germinal Year 12." -
