ARMAN (Armand Fernandez, alias, 1928-2005) "A ma jolie", 1982. Accumulation of mini-guitar cuts. Welded bronze, brown patina, signed at the bottom on one of the guitars. Artist's proof. Edition : 8 copies + 2 E.A. + 2 H.C. 74 x 37 cm This work is listed in the archives of Mrs Denyse Durand-Ruel under the number 6610. History: This is a reproduction on a scale of 1/3 of the unique eponymous sculpture of 30 cups of guitars in welded bronze, made in 1982 and installed in April 1983 in the courtyard of the Picasso Museum in Antibes for the opening of the first French retrospective of Arman from 8 July 1983 at the Museum in homage to Picasso and his cubist work "ma jolie" in 1911-1912 an allusive portrait of his companion Marcelle Humbert dit Eva Gouel.
