HUARD Ch.
Berlin as I saw it. Original edition illustrated with black drawings by Charles Huard. Charles Huard (born in 1874, died in 1965) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. We owe him notably the engravings that illustrate the Conard edition of the complete works of Honoré de Balzac published in 1910, but also many illustrations of works of fiction (Poil de Carotte), particularly Anglo-Saxon novels or classical works. He gave satirical sketches in magazines such as Le Rire, Le Sourire. He has painted, in oil and watercolour, Normandy and the ports of the South, such as Marseille. Published in Paris, by Eugène Rey, in 1907. 188 pages. Complete in (13x20cm) Binding in good condition illustrated with black drawings by Charles Huard. Well preserved copy: small rubbing of use on the headdresses. Fresh, freckle-free interior. Play in the hinge of the second plate.
