OMEGA Chrono-quartz "Albatros" - reference 196.0052 Sport chronograph watch in steel with quartz movement. - Rectangular steel case, smooth bezel, fluted crown, round pump pushers on the left, screwed back. - Black analog dial on the right, straight white painted hands, date window at 3 o'clock, two digital counters on the left indicating the time in hours, minutes, seconds and 1/100th of a second. - Steel bracelet, steel folding clasp (1227 - 212) Signed case, dial and movement. Movement caliber 1611 Caliber number 40.103.229 Case numbered 196.0052 Diameter: 46 x 34 mm - Length of the bracelet: 20 cm The Seamaster Chrono-Quartz 32KHz model known as Albatros in reference to its movement, the first hybrid caliber in the world: on the left, a chronograph with a double LCD display, on the right, a quartz movement displaying the hours, minutes and date. Launched in 1976, it has two engraved medallions on its back: the Olympic Merit Cross and the Seamaster collection logo. This watch is one of the few to have two types of movements in the same case and was the symbol of modernity at the time. Its legibility is flawless, separating the chronograph functions by LCD displays and the hours by hands. A similar watch (lot 158) was sold at the Omegamania auction on April 14-15, 2007 by Antiquorum for CHF 6,490. Condition report: Good general condition, scratches and patina on the case, the watch works at the time of the expertise, without guarantee of functioning in time, a revision of use advised.
